Just wanted to say I love Simplify, I've been using it since it came out as I had been using inbox for its lifespan too. Additionally, if you ever turn your attention to outlook which I am forced to use for work I would gladly hand you my money 😅

I'm stoked about fixing the way the Hubspot plugin works!! Thanks Michael!

I'm a huge Simplify user, it is seriously beneficial to my mental health. I want to pay you more than $24 per year. Can you make sure to setup a PayPal or something so I can give you more?

I guess I could just sign up for more accounts and not use them :)

Really appreciate the support. That will be the easiest way for me.

Any thought to include a "purchasing parity power" system into the pricing model for this in future? DraculaPro recently added it, and it just showed such genuine care for pricing and costs in the rest of the world: https://draculatheme.com/blog/purchasing-parity-power-plus-4-new-themes

Cool, will look into it.

I just wanted to start a subscription, but was a little bit confused why the 2$-Plan costs 2,13€. Thats more than 2$.

Sorry for the confusion. That price includes VAT. Tax is not included in the up front price in the US (I can't compute the tax until I find out your exact location) whereas VAT is included in the upfront price for countries that have a VAT.

Alright! Thanks for the fast reply :)

Do you have any solution for young users without income? subscription will just scare off students because we just can't afford having subscriptions when we do not have any form of income. I raised this concern in a previous post but was unattended to. I hope the author sees this and hopefully provide some opinions on this even though it is to decline! I understand the vast amount of effort needed thus I honestly was preparing to depart from using Simplify but will definitely be coming back when I got a source of income! I do think that this is something worth paying for and the current pricing is really affordable.

Thanks for your comment, I thought about this a fair amount and didn't find a solution for the initial launch. Ideas I considered: let any .edu domain use Simplify for free, let people apply for a free year and use the honor system, have a free version.

All of these are extra work and make it harder to support the extension at the low price point I choose. My commitment is to revisit this once I see how many people sign up.

Thank you for all of the continued improvements! Any plans to include a keyboard shortcut for the 'tab' button so it indents instead of pushing you down to the send button? It's been so difficult to get used to after Outlook!

Interesting idea. I find this annoying too. I think there might be a way to do this. It messes with your ability to use shift+tab to move focus to the subject field. So I'm not sure if I'd enable it by default. I'll add it to my list of things to look into after the subscription launches.

Hi Michael - Would there be a way to have "Last Updated" at the top of the email list?

Hmm, maybe. Gmail doesn't have it anywhere on the page. I could try to detect when a refresh happens and grab the current time.

But how valuable would it be? Gmail refreshes the list pretty often.

Ahh, good point. More for general awareness. Thx!

When multiple users will be able to simultanously edit the same email? Maybe something only for Google?

Are you asking how multiple people can have access to the same email account? Or how you can share and collaborate on a draft email across people?

If so, this isn't something Gmail really supports on a one-off basis nor is it something Simplify aims to add to Gmail.

Ways you can kind of do this now:

• Gmail lets you assign account delegates (which gives someone else access to your account).

• Or you can draft an email in a Google Doc or some other tool.

I think there are other tools that sort of achieve this with a shared inbox but I have not researched them and have no recommendations to make.

Thank for your fast reply. I was asking to collaborate on a draft of course. Will be nice to hide a Google Doc draft in the background without leaving gmail and when ready/approved... you send your email.

Would love to have a check box with each date group header so I can select all in that given timeframe.

Agree -- it is on my list along with a sweep button that archives anything that isn't starred. It is a limitation of how I insert the groups currently. So I need to rebuild this part.

Yeah, I'm sure you remember the way Inbox did batch processing. I loved that and I personally feel that would add the most value to GMail (per-group archive/delete/select). Thank you for the timely response!

I would love a lifetime option. Is that possible?

I want to hide the numbers to the top right of my Inbox list of emails (1-13 of 13) until hover. I'm not sure what that is would be called in the options, but is there a way to do that? It seems no matter which toggle I try, it doesn't disappear. That's fine if that option isn't (yet?) available. I just want to be sure I'm not missing something.

It should be hidden by default. File a report via https://simpl.fyi/issue if it isn't doing that.

I am adding an option in the upcoming release (v2.3.0) to *disable* hiding it until hover.

Love it. For what it's worth, as long as the toggles aren't on the actual gmail UI (but in some preferences menu), I don't see anything un-ideal about. Simplify is, in my mind, about the UI, not preferences. And the toggles allow me to simplify as much as is practical for my needs.

An idea: make a list of the toggles you think most people will want to consider. Then make a collapsed list of toggles you think few people would care about. That makes even the settings simple to the eye and if someone wants to be crazier about customization (me!!!!), they can choose to wade through the collapsed list.

I LOVE a minimalist look, almost to a fault. But I equally love as MICH customization as the developer is willing to throw my way. I have seen poorly organization, but I have ver once seen "too much" (from the user end. I get how for your sanity and quality control, there can easily be too much... The more options, the more than can break).

Pricing plan is fantastic and beyond fair. Thanks for the option to turn off auto-renew. This might sound overly morbid, but I don't like the idea that if something happens to me, my wife will be nickle and dimed until our credit card expires. Lol

Fantastic… can't wait to pay. :)

I do hope v2 will work with Mailplane. I've had to switch back to using Safari for now but really like having a stand-alone email app/client outside the browser. I'd gladly pay a premium for that ability FWIW.

Mailplane and I definitely wanted Simplify to continue working in Mailplane but it is going to be a while.

The problem is Simplify v2 requires Chrome v79+ (from 2019) or newer. Mailplane runs on Chrome v69 (from 2018).

They didn't give a lot of detail but said they were waiting on Google for something in order to do the upgrade and hoped it would happen this summer.
